In an otherworldly place, Hester, an abhorred but necessary abortionist, has but one goal in her heart: free her imprisoned son. Hester is soon encountered with some hard truths which turn her quest of emancipation into one of revenge and redemption. With the help of a newfound friend and an old confidant, Hester concocts and carries out her plan against a Jacobean backdrop which merges story and song.
